So, is this why Dark Everett is going to kill all the Charlies? Because they start flaunting their power and use it to mess around with the space-time continuum and thereby threaten the entire fabric of existence? (No, I don’t really know what all that means, but it’s what they say when people start doing things like what they just did.)

Can’t really answer that without spoiling, but I can say it will be answered.

I think the more implicit question here is: Is this kind of manipulation what creates the Dark Everett, the idea that one Charlie knows/knew better than all the others and starts/started doing little side manipulations that are/were justified/justifiable as being for the betterment of the world as a whole, but are the good intentions the road to Hell is paved with?

(and yes, I do know what I am saying here LOL)

I feel like that guard’s line is referencing something, but the only thing that comes to mind is Umbridge from Order of the Phoenix, so any help, O Wise and Fearless Leader?

It’s just a line from Titanic, actually, if I recall correctly.
