My favorite part of this page is where Dex put Charlie’s reflection in that mirror, looking down at the dog. It really gives that panel a sense of motion, and really it’s like two panels in one, because you get Charlie from behind and the set scene, ad then you get Charlie looking down at Pavlov, which is another emotional moment in and of itself.
I noodled with these dialogue chunks about thirty times, I kept moving the dialogue and goofing with it, trying to get it right. I really need to leave it alone. A writer really shouldn’t be his own letterer, especially since I’m a bad boss to myself. I yell at myself, then I look all schizophrenic, and the next thing you know, I’m talking to my dog.
